I stayed here just before starting a work deployment back in 2016. It looked cute from the outside with its white colonial shutters and we always passed it on the BTS. Positives-location is 1 BTS/walking distance to the Siam malls. Alot of effort is invested into the prettiness of the drama and ambience (vintage Thai meets feminine French vintage), lots of cute high tech extras such as water pressure apparatus in the lavatory and a computer-generated system for electrical appliances in the room, complimentary deserts in the evening, marble floors in the room and bathroom and white shuttered windows. Price is good for what you get (approx 90-100USD).
Cons-there was a bit of a poor drainage issue in the shower area for one of our rooms. While the location is great in the sense of its centrality, it is right by Ratchathewi BTS and main road so can be slightly noisy with less privacy. I would still recommend it for those who want to be near transport links and main malls but don’t want to pay more than 100-120usd.
Overall I think it’s ideal for those who come to BKK for work and convenience, not a luxury trip. Forgive the quality of the photos, let’s just say that photographs taken before 2017 were all on an old deteriorating iPhone with no blog-related intentions. You may have a better sense of the place from the website at this link.
Hi. What sort of work were you doing at that time?
