Old World Charm in Geneva 

Despite constantly trying different accommodations in Geneva, I’ve never been impressed with any of its apartments offerings on Airbnb until I managed to book this old world charm. I was incredibly lucky, this apartment is usually always booked. But I was determined this time to keep searching until I found one that would not just be a place to lay my head but also inspire me. I would stay for almost a week, and I wanted to look forward to returning home from meetings. As such, apart from wanting to be within a 15 minute tram ride from the office, the rest of my search markers was based on what I didn’t want it to be. Not small, not cramped, not musty, not for students.

I had a super time in this apartment. It is a 2 bedroom apartment spread over 200 metres, located about 7 minute walk from Gare Cornavin, and with a beautiful view of the lake. All of this spells out ‘palatial’ in this city. More icing on the cake? The building was a beautiful period building, but with an elevator. The apartment had high ceilings giving off a very old world vibe. Each of the 2 bedrooms was so super spacious. There is also a living room with a fireplace and can be connected to the second bedroom. In addition, there is a ‘laundry room’ for you to store your luggage or iron your clothes. There is one bathroom and one lavatory.
