This was a big family trip taken in 2016 to celebrate my parents 75th and 80th birthday. We had been planning this family holiday and exchanged multiple emails with Starwood for various months then but true hospitality and service only began once we started to directly contact Westin Langkawi. Special thanks to Mr Zureimi and the whole villa team. From the day of arrival to the day of departure they could not do enough for us. For my parents birthday, we arranged for cake and deco at the villa and they had the birthday banners, garden lit with a heartshaped candle formation, a bedroom filled with petals and a flower bouquet.  The Westin brand is a great five-star product, very family orientated property, with service that could beat similar brands in Bali/Phuket. We booked the 2bedroom villa and 3 superior rooms and it really delivered in aesthetics, practicality, and luxury. The 2 bedroom is pretty much like a 3 bedroom, as they have a sitting room which can be converted into a bedroom, with a bathroom next to it. A step outside the villa is the beach. Do try these beachfront villas, it is very secluded and beautifully designed, with each villa of sufficient distance from each other to accommodate a noisy family-like ours. Of course, it’s difficult to make a choice with a hotel in Langkawi with so much on offer, but we rated this highly because of the service and how it catered for large families so well.

Unfortunately, it happened at a time when I didn’t have a proper camera and barely took any photos, so these were all that was left of the memories.
