Many told me about the wonders of the Adriatic – and what better way to enjoy this natural wonder than by spending half a day sailing on it. My search quickly took me to Istraordinary’s website (here) and IG page (here). I liked their Legend sailboat and the offer they provided – 4 hours sailing to various nearby islands to Rovinj, a spot of swimming and snorkelling, fresh fruits, water and local snacks on board. We were so lucky on that September afternoon with the gracious hosts Marino and Ivana. Ā Marino was brilliant – he was so knowledgeable about Istrian culture, history and geography.Ā His description of his lineage pretty much summed up the Istrian region – his grandfather was born under the Austro Hungarian empire, his father was born when Istria belonged to Italy, he was born when Istria was under the Yugoslavian government and his son was born under the Croatian government. Ivana was lovely – she made delightful local apperetifs for us and kept checking on our comfort all the time. We learnt so much from both of them. Some photos of that unforgettable day.
These pictures are too good to be true. These are making me envious of your travels.š
